Message Im almost ready to have my Z tuned, but I'm having trouble finding a tuner in/around Atlanta who has tuned Zs before or who has given me confidence in their tuning abilities.

Found one local shop north of Atlanta. The guys were friendly, and seemed knowledgable, but they've never tuned a Z before. The owner has built Nissans including skylines and 240s. He uses NISTune, but he is asking for a $300 deposit to order the z32 board. He wants to charge me $600 flat fee TOTAL to tune my Z(so 300 deposit and 300 the day of tune). Then if I ever want to retune, he will charge 200 flat fee.

My question is: is this a fair deal for the tune? Would you guys trust a tuner that has experience, but not on a Z? He is using a mustang dyno if that makes any difference. Also, he did a couple baseline low boost pulls on my Z already and he was doing it in 3rd gear...is that correct? I have a TT motor with NA rear subframe.

Thanks for your input
